Parade day begins at 12:00 PM with a march down Maple Avenue. The Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Parade first stepped off on March 22, 1997 and has over the course of 19 years become one of the best-attended and supported parades outside of New York City. The Rockville Centre St. Patrick’s Parade annually shares its success with three worthy charities, which are National, Irish, and local focused. The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) celebrates Halloween with Spooky Fest. The Tanglewood Preserve in Rockville Centre is transformed into a family friendly, Halloween event. Wooded paths, exhibits, and festivities on the preserve will be featured, with eerie lighting, special effects, and characters along the way. Everything is perfectly spooky and a little scary. Creatures of all kinds inhabit the woods, the strange and beautiful will draw you into the eerie paths.
