The 55th Annual John P. Reilly Memorial St. Patrick’s Day Parade is all set for Sunday, March 1, in East Islip. The parade steps off at 2 p.m., starting at the East Islip Public Library at 381 East Main Street. It then heads west on Main Street to Irish Lane. The 2020 Grand Marshal is Tom Davis, who’s an immediate past president of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Division 7, East Islip, which organizes the parade. The Glen Cove Hibernians will be at the heart of the Glen Cove St. Patrick’s Day Parade, along with bands of Irish pipers and other marching bands. Marchers gather at, at Finley Middle School on Forest Avenue. Enjoy a post-parade party and dinner at St Patrick’s Parish Hall. While it may seem like it’s becoming a month long celebration, St. Patrick’s Day is front and center again with the 85th annual Huntington St. Patricks’ Day Parade. Yes, that’s right, they’ve been holding this parade since 1930 and still going strong today with the Huntington Ancient Order of the Hiberians and Grand Marshal Timothy Rossiter leading the way. Look for bagpipers, bands and floats along New York Avenue and Main Street.

Show off your Easter bonnet, noon Sunday, April 1, at an Easter parade and egg hunt. Meet in front of Theatre Three on Main Street, Port Jefferson, for the parade, which will wend its way to Port Jefferson Village Center on the harbor. The egg hunt follows at about 12:30 p.m. for ages 2-8 only, on the great lawn at Harborfront. Bring a basket or bag to carry your eggs home.
