Leave modern conveniences behind and step back in time to see costumed docents prepare a holiday meal the way they would have in the late-19th century. The 1863 Thanksgiving celebration invites you to visit a kitchen in one of the historic homes at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, where you’ll find a beehive oven or an open fire doing the cooking and baking. The Long Island Woodworkers host a two-day show that includes handmade wood items for sale, along with demonstrations on various topics, including scrolling, furniture making and more.
