A new exhibit, “Fool the Eye,” opens at the Nassau County Museum of Art. It will have you wondering — is it real or faux? Photography or a painting? Grab your hat and head to Northport’s LaMantia Gallery to enjoy the opening reception of “The Art of Dr. Seuss Rare Editions,” 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, and noon-6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. Call to reserve spots at the receptions. Jeff Schuffman, a representative from Dr. Seuss’ estate, will share stories and answer questions about the artist. The exhibit, which runs through Dec. 24, features a minimum of 50 pieces of rare works from three collections – “Secret Art,” “Unorthodox Taxidermy Sculpture” and “Illustrative Art.”

The BAFFA Art Gallery announces two exhibits during the month of November.
