The annual Authors Night benefits the East Hampton Library kicks off with the book-signing cocktail reception. Meet your favorite authors and get them to sign a copy of their latest books. Make a reservation for the dinner parties at a private Hampton home where you’ll dine with some of the authors.
It likely doesn’t get more Norman Rockwell-esque than the Lantern Tours along East Hampton Village’s historic Main Street. The tour is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, and starts at the Clinton Academy Museum, 151 Main St. in East Hampton. Each participant will carry a candle lantern while a guide discusses the rich history of these homes, as well as their festive decorations. Call for the required reservation.
