Support local agriculture at the Long Island Community Supported Agriculture Fair. Meet with Local CSA farmers and sign up for a share in a CSA program. Over 18 farms are offering programs that include produce, fruit, flowers, cheese, bread, eggs, meat and fish.
Long Island’s agricultural fair at Old Bethpage Village Restoration features craft demonstrations along with judging in categories that include vegetables, needlework and flowers. Kids can enjoy potato sack races, being a farmer, crosscut sawing competition, puppet shows, singers, dancing, pig racing, a one-man wild West show, camel rides, a petting zoo and more. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 15-16 and Sept. 22-23 (10am-5pm)
