Using native plants in a home garden can reduce maintenance and the need for frequent watering. Local gardeners can learn more about the topic from Sue Avery at the next Massapequa Park Garden Club meeting on Wednesday, May 16.

She will speak on going native in suburbia and designing with native plants for a dynamic garden in touch with the natural world.

The meeting will start at 7:30 pm and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The Massapequa Park Garden Club meets in the downstairs meeting room of Massapequa Park Village Hall, 151 Front Street, Massapequa Park. The entrance is in the rear of the building and is not handicap accessible.
