HurriCON 2022
HurriCon is the only benefit comics art convention in the New York area where all proceeds go right back to the church. Hurricane Sandy hit my hometown of East Rockaway hard. Homes were flooded, trees were toppled, boats were thrown up on the mainland, and many residents were forced from their homes and lost everything. Walk-thru Chinese Auction entirely to benefit Veterans-In-Need by sponsoring highly trained service dogs to assist them - at no cost to the veteran. Lake Grove Centereach Homemakers is holding a pancake breakfast/basket raffle to raise money for their community service projects and unit scholarships for those seeking higher education.
