FALL YARD SALE
The Yaphank Historical Society will hold its annual multi-vendor
Fall Yard Sale on Saturday, September 20th, 9AM to 3PM, on the
grounds of the Robert and Isabella Hawkins House at 4 Yaphank
Avenue, Yaphank. There will be a large selection of crafts, collectibles,
and household items. Rain date is Sept 21st.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUPS
Will be offered at St. John Nepomucene
-Loss of Spouse -Loss of Adult Child -General Loss
The group will be eight weeks in duration beginning
Thursday, September 11th – October 30th at 7PM
The group meets weekly for 90 minutes followed by refreshments
and hospitality. There is no cost but a commitment to
attend each meeting throughout the program is required. The
groups are offered in a closed and confi dential setting with
highly trained facilitators and are limited to 12 people. For the
spousal and general groups the loss must have occurred three
months prior to the start of the group. Pre-registration is required.

HARVEST MOON FESTIVAL
Connetquot River State Park Preserve. Sunday, October 5th, 2025 -
2:00pm - 8:00pm. This is a FREE Event! Join us October 5th, 2025
for our fi rst Harvest Moon Event to celebrate the change of season!
Activities start at 2:00pm with crafts and lawn games and a performance
from local band Wiggum. We invite you to bring lawn chairs
to relax and enjoy the music. As the sun sets over the pond we will
take to the trails for a lantern hike to enjoy the fall colors and look
for our nocturnal residents! $8 parking rate in effect until 4:00pm. To

Legacy of Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy.” Michael’s father Dan
will share the life of his son who made the ultimate sacrifi ce, giving
his life to protect his fellow Navy SEALs in the War in Afghanistan
