A re-enactment over the Fire Island Lighthouse of the original “Flying Santa,” which took place in the late 1940s, continues. There are no reindeer. Look for Santa’s biplane to circle the historic beacon, just like he did to deliver presents to the lighthouse keeper and his family back in the day, 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, Robert Moses State Park, park in Field 5 and walk east.
