ON UNDECLARED PEANUTS IN
“SESAME FLAVORED WHEAT COOKIES”
Tiffany Food Corp. 2042 Pitkin Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11207 is
recalling its 400-gram packages of Sesame fl avored Wheat cookies
because they contain undeclared peanuts. Consumers who have
severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening
allergic reactions if they consume this product.
The recalled “Sesame wheat Cookies”
Were distributed nationwide in retail stores.
The product is packaged in 400-gram, clear plastic bags with
no expiration date. The product UPC code is 6925332604198.
No illnesses or allergic reactions involving this product have been
reported to date. The recall was initiated after routine sampling by
NYS Department of Agriculture & Markets and subsequent analysis by
Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of peanuts in the 400-
gram packages of Sesame Wheat Cookies which were not declared on the
label. Analysis of the Sesame wheat Cookies revealed they contain 40.3
parts per million per serving exceeds the limit of 10 parts per million.
Consumers who have purchased 400-gram packages of
“Sesame wheat Cookies” are urged to return them to the place
of purchase for a full refund.

Spring Greens Smoothie
Recipe adapted from KatieSpring.com
1 cup packed spinach or pea shoots
1 apple, cored and chopped
1 banana, sliced
1-2 dates
1 ½ cups almond milk
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 pinch cinnamon (optional)
Wash greens. In blender, blend spinach,
apple, banana, dates, almond milk and
chia seeds until smooth. Add cinnamon,
if desired, and blend.
Leftovers can be refrigerated 1-2 days.
