Help Raise Funds To Grant
Wishes For Sick Children

GARDEN CITY, N.Y., Aprill 27, 2026 — Nassau
BOCES Barry Tech along with its component in-district
programs, collected 1,776 student-created
cards for the Marty Lyons Foundation’s “Well Wishes”
campaign. The foundation — in partnership with
Adventureland amusement park in Farmingdale —
collects cards and letters that bring hope and encouragement
to children with terminal or life-threatening
illnesses. In addition to containing thoughtful
and uplifting messages for their recipients, the Barry
Tech cards helped grant the wishes of three children.
In total, Nassau BOCES students helped raised
a dollar per card — $1,776 — to support the wishes
of Dante, Valentina and Grace.
