goodness. It is, in my opinion, an incredible dollar value,

TENUTA MONTANELLO BARBERA D’ALBA
Italy. What a great fi nd this wine has turned out to be. This
Piemonte classic over-delivers at this price point. This is a
full-bodied deep colored Barbera jam packed with fl avor.
Very balanced between the fruit, acidity and tannins. There
are many layers to this wine that are so enjoyable-dark fruit,
a whisper of coffee, a long fi nish-attributes that should cost a
whole lot more, but don’t. This is a serious dry red with a not

Abruzzo, Italy. As an Italian, this one has to be a favorite on
my dinner table! This is a really dark, earthy rosso with notes

Especially in the Southern Rhone where this wine is from.

France. Always a terrifi c White Bordeaux, Chateau Graville-
Lacoste stands out in the crowd because of its high percentage
of Semillon (60%). Most White Bordeauxs are Sauvignon Blanc
driven. The higher percentage of Semillon gives this wine a bit
more body and roundness. The Sauvignon Blanc (35%) adds the
