ACROBAT PINOT GRIS
Oregon. In my opinion the two best grape varieties from Oregon
are Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Both love the warm day and cool
nights that Oregon has. This wine really showcases what good
Oregon Pinot Gris is all about. Wonderful nose of tropical fruit.
Lush round mouthfeel, but with good vibrancy from the natural
acidity. This medium body dry white sees no oak aging. It’s such
great fruit here folks. Pairs nicely with seafood, but also great
with salads and chicken too. Mike H. 10.99

JUGGERNAUT CHARDONNAY
California. This powerful beauty combines the best of all worlds
into a tasty, vibrant Chardonnay, as it uses three different aging
techniques to impart depth and complexity. This wine has spent
some time in stainless steel tanks which brings out those clean
crisp mineral qualities AND was further aged “Sur Lie” (Aging
on its yeast) to produce an elegant luxurious body reminiscent of
the French style whites. Then it receives the traditional oak cask
aging we see in the majority of Chardonnays these days which
produces oaky and buttery qualities. Three aging styles, none
overpowering the other but all working in perfect harmony...
Like Crosby, Stills and Nash! (or the Bee Gees or Beastie Boys,
depending on your tastes and era) Mark S

TENUTE ORESTRIADI ORANGE INZOLIA
Sicily. Organic. This is an intriguing and unique wine.
Made from carefully selected Inzolia grapes, it undergoes
spontaneous fermentation. Its pale orange color is the
result of careful maceration on the skins for fi ve days. On
the nose, it reveals aromas of wild fl owers, herbs, almonds,
and orange peel. On the palate, it is soft and savory, with
a balanced acidity, enriched by notes of citrus, dried
apricots, white peaches, and sweet spices. Excellent as an
aperitif and paired with sushi or on its own. Maria Z.

SEA COVE SAUVIGNON BLANC
Marlborough, New Zealand. SUSTAINABLE. From
certifi ed sustainable, estate vineyards of Sugar Loaf, located
in the Wairau Valley, home to some of the oldest Sauvignon
Blanc vines in Marlborough. Intense aromas and fl avors of
lime, tropical passion fruit, citrus, orange blossom and hints
of herbs. Refreshing with zippy citrus, stony minerals, and
a linear structure - great on its own or to be paired with fi sh,
shellfi sh or chicken! Maria Z. 14.99
PIERRE SPARR GRAND RESERVE RIESLING
France. The Sparr family from Alsace has been making
wine since 1680. I guess you can say they’ve been doing
something right after all this time. This juicy, refreshingly
100% dry Riesling is sourced from 25+ year vineyards. Hints
of lime with a traditional mineral backbone. The nose screams
Riesling with the familiar tart apple and fl oral notes. Lush
and concentrated, this well appointed classic has so much
personality for so few dollars. Substantially farmed so there’s
no chemical fertilizers or pesticides, just real, honest Riesling
that soothes the soul. Mike H. 10.99

Because it is so good and reasonably priced! It’s a fullbodied

Made from almost all Cabernet Sauvignon but there is a
splash of Syrah added to fatten it up a bit. This Cabernet
delivers the goods, plain and simple. You get more than

TRIMBACH PINOT BLANC
France. Here’s a nice little change from Pinot Grigio or any
other dry white for that matter. The grape variety, Pinot Blanc,
produces a wine that is medium-bodied. As with all Trimbach
wines, no oak is used. It’s all about the soil and the grape (Terrior)
not about manipulation in the cellars. As their sign states in their
tasting room: “Say no to oak, let the fruit shine through.” Mike H.

HEARTLAND “SPICE TRADER” SHIRAZ
Langhorne Creek, Australia. As soon as you pour this wine
into your glass you’re going to see why I dig this wine. The
aromas that leap out right away are of a fruit compote, freshly
baked apple and raspberry cookies. The longer you leave it,
the more aromatic you get. Black currants and dark earthy
notes are cushioned by soft tannins providing a plush palate
with a hint of warm spice on the fi nish. Pair this with your
favorite BBQ dish or with seared steaks. Maria Z.

Bordeaux, France. This is a harmonious blend of 85% Merlot and
15% Cabernet right from the heart of Blaye Cotes De Bordeaux. The
fl avor profi le of Les Petits Arnauds Bordeaux is a true delight for
the senses. With prominent notes of dark fruits such as blackberries
and plums, this wine offers a rich and complex taste that evolves
beautifully on the palate. Subtle hints of oak and vanilla add depth
to the overall experience, creating a layered and enjoyable tasting
journey from start to fi nish. Les Petits Arnauds Bordeaux has
garnered notable awards and recognition within the wine industry,
solidifying its status as a top choice for wine enthusiasts! Maria Z.

ANTOINE SUNIER REGNIE
Beaujolais, France. Organic. This wine is quite full-bodied
showing good tannin structure and dark fruit. Regnie is one of
Beaujolais Crus most suitable for aging, and this red wine is no
exception. Also, the beauty of well-structured Beaujolais wine is
that it also drinks well in its youth! Enjoyable with any dishes,
think lamb chops or roasted duck. Maria Z.

14.99 CHATEAU GRAVILLE-LACOSTE GRAVES
France. Always a terrifi c White Bordeaux, Chateau
Graville-Lacoste stands out in the crowd because of its
high percentage of Semillon (60%). Most White Bordeauxs
are Sauvignon Blanc driven. The higher percentage of
Semillon gives this wine a bit more body and roundness. The
Sauvignon Blanc (35%) adds the refreshing citrus fl avors.
Muscadelle (5%) adds the beautiful perfume nose. Put all
these components together and you get a well balanced
harmonious compelling dry white that has broad appeal for
all. Great match with seafood, but equally as good with spicy
foods and chicken too.
CAP ROYAL BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR
France. Plush and juicy black currant, tomato leaf,
cherry and plum is this CLASSIC claret. It’s brooding
and sassy. Full, rich, ripe and raisny, this dry red is
really quite tasty. This vintage was warm (2022), and
the fruits here are ripe and full, but its still rounded and
smooth with sift ripe tannins. Fermented in steel and
in French oak for over six months. Great for the price.
A value claret that punches above its weight! Maria Z.

STRESS MANAGEMENT TIPS
For the Holidays
Get organized
Consider using a planner, calendar, or other organizational
tool to help you keep track of what you have on
your plate. Having all your commitments laid out in front
of you can help reduce stress.
Organize your gift-giving, too! Make your list and check
it twice to save yourself stress down the road.
Remind yourself what the season is about.
It’s easy to give into the pressures of over-buying,
over-thinking, and over-extending ourselves. Prioritize
what matters to you and let the rest go without judgement
or shame.
Set boundaries to maintain
your mental health.
When we give too much of ourselves to others, we can
become stressed and resentful. Figure out what commitments,
gatherings or events feel good for you, and
brainstorm ways that you can protect your mental energy
when you’re doing them.
Practice good self-care.
It’s easy to neglect these things when there’s a lot on our
plate. But make sure you still:
• Move your body.
• Get fresh air.
• Eat health foods.
• Get enough sleep.
• Get enough light/Vitamin D.
• Avoid using substances to cope with your stress.
Let go of the nagging
“I should” feeling.
Just because others are doing certain holiday traditions,
doesn’t mean you should. There is no ‘should!’ Focus on
what feels good. It’s okay to skip things that don’t bring
your family joy, or even take a year off from a tradition.
Practice mindfulness.
Things like meditation, grounding exercises and deep
breathing can be helpful when you’re overwhelmed.
Stay connected to your
support networks.
Isolation and loneliness feeds anxiety, especially during
the holidays. Find ways to reach out to family, friends,
colleagues, faith-based communities, and social organizations.
