The Fall Family Freshwater Fishing Festival features fishing instructions and a loaner rod and bait to fish for trout, largemouth bass and sunfish, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, Hempstead Lake State Park in West Hempstead. You’ll also find pumpkin and face painting and environmental exhibits, along with a juggling and animal show.
