HOMEMAKER’S WANTAGH CHAPTER’S
Looking for something new, join the Homemaker’s
Wantagh chamber. We meet on the second Thursday of
every month at 10am. Bellmore Presbyterian Church,
2740 Martin Ave., Bellmore. We’re a non-profi t group
sharing ideas while participating in various projects:
crafts, day trips, luncheons and speakers. Why not give

MEADOWBROOK WOMEN’S INITIATIVE
an organization of mostly retired women with membership
spanning all of Nassau County with some in Suffolk and
Queens. MWI is an outgrowth of the National Brandeis
Women’s organization; we branched off into our own
501c(3) in 2009, when we decided to keep our fundraising
money on LI, where we have all chosen to live for many
years and where there are so many lesser-known charities
that need assistance. We maintained the education component
by connecting with the then-newly established Zucker
School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, which has been
included in our by-laws.
