PSEG Long Island Provides St. Francis Hospital for Animals
with Grants and Rebates at New Oakdale Location
“Working with the economic
development team
at PSEG Long Island was
a game changer,” said Dr.

were able to take advantage
of energy efficiency rebates
for new equipment that was
installed, which paid us back
in two ways: the rebate check
that defrayed the cost of the
equipment and our lower operating
expenses going forward.

PSEG Long Island has given a $25,000
Main Street Revitalization grant under
its Business First program and thousands
of dollars in energy efficiency
rebates to St. Francis Hospital for
Animals. The veterinary hospital recently
relocated to a new building on
Montauk Highway in Oakdale, where it
created an energy-saving space and 17
new jobs.
The energy efficiency rebates, which
totaled more than $11,000, included 147
LED light fixtures and four heat pumps
– both ducted and mini split systems.
The hospital also qualified for PSEG
Long Island’s Vacant Space program,
which will provide electric bill credits
for the first year at the new location.

announced Justine E. Lange, a senior at
Rocky Point High School, as the recipient
of their $1,000 scholarship
Lange is a member of the National Honor Society,
a varsity cheerleader at Rocky Point High School,
and a volunteer with several local camps and
community projects.
According to the organization, Lange’s
scholarship essay distinguished her from other
applicants. In her research, she explored the
history of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which
began in 1951 with John M. Sullivan and George
Faulkner and approximately 1,000 spectators.
She will participate again this year on March 15,
marching with her scholarship sash.

The Friends of St. Patrick also announced that the 74th Annual St.
Patrick’s Day Parade will take place on Sunday,
March 15, 2026, beginning at 1 p.m.
Friday, Feb. 21, at 5 p.m. at the
Moose Lodge in Mt. Sinai. Tickets are $90
and include dinner and a four-hour open bar.
