Helen Keller Services for the blind is seeking volunteers
to spend one or two hours a week visiting blind
elderly people who are home bound. Visits will involve
socializing, reading mail, and in some cases,
transportation to the store and doctor. For info, call

Elwood high school students take mock trial to new heights
Congratulations to John H. Glenn High School sophomores Abby
Rothleder and Max Slesinski, who were recently inducted into
Huntington Youth Court – a town-run program where youth court
members hear cases of youth offenders who have committed their fi rst
misdemeanor crime in a trial setting. Members enrolled in the program
perform the roles of prosecuting and defense attorneys, judges, bailiffs
and jury members.
