First week of Dec. at Montauk Observatory,
Date & Time TBA. Observing Comet Borisov (this
is the second known interstellar comet discovered
and is bigger than the fi rst--Oumuamua. It will be
around longer and will be viewable through amateur
astronomy-sized telescopes, shouldn’t be a problem to
see it with Montauk Observatory’s 20” research-grade

Stargazing with Montauk Observatory at SoFo
Virtual Reality Workshop
The Mattituck-Laurel Library will be holding a virtual
reality workshop on Friday, November 15th from 2 PM
to 5 PM. Come experience the world of Virtual Reality
with the library’s HTC VIVE system. Each participant
will be given the opportunity to use the VIVE for thirty
minutes. Reserve a time at the Circulation Desk. For

Jewelry Making Classes
The Southampton History Museum is holding jewelry
making classes on Saturdays until December 28th at
the Pelletreau Silver Shop, 80 Main Street,
Southampton from 10 AM to 12 PM. Price varies
based on number of class/membership:
1 class – $50 member / $60 non-member
4 classes - $180 member / $220 non-member
8 classes - $360 member / $420 non-member
