November 11, 2018 will mark the end of World War I, a hundred years ago! Lynbrook’s historian and member of the Historical Society of East Rockaway & Lynbrook, Art Mattson, will share how the residents of Lynbrook made commitments to the peace effort and made sacrifices during the war. The French government was so greatful they sent their ambassador and officers of a French battleship to Lynbrook to thank the residents.Attend this presentation to learn the many ways the women and men earned this high praise.
