EastLine Theatre is proud to present Sam Shepard’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Buried Child.

In a squalid farm house, a family’s suppressed violence and unhappiness finally boils over. The characters are a ranting alcoholic grandfather, a sanctimonious grandmother, their sons, Tilden, an All-American footballer now a hulking semi-idiot, and Bradley, who has lost one leg to a chain saw. Into their midst comes Vince, a grandson none of them recognize or remember, and his girlfriend, Shelly, who cannot comprehend the madness. Yet, the family harbors darker secrets buried deeper still beneath the soil. EastLine is proud to present Sam Shepard’s Pulitzer Prize winning play that grapples with the destruction of the American Dream.
